Perhaps the most significant aspect of a video game’s marketing is its best game trailer. There are several games that could have used some improvement but nonetheless managed to generate excitement before their release owing to very memorable trailers. Even though there have been many incredible trailers over the years, not all of them necessarily stand out due to their excellence.

Everyone has a different idea of what makes a trailer genuinely memorable, but it can be difficult to argue against some of the imaginative decisions that companies have made for well-known games. Sometimes all it takes to recall a trailer you saw years ago is a single note or simply a tiny image.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 – Episode 1 Trailer
The length of this gorgeously animated trailer includes Ryu vs. Wolverine, Iron Man vs. Morrigan, Chris Redfield vs. The Hulk, Deadpool vs. Dante, and an astounding entrance by Dormammu.

Just the opening frame of the trailer – in which Jack inexplicably flies down toward the dazzling city of Rapture – is more than enough to make it unforgettable.
