Who doesn’t enjoy a good cartoon? But do you have any idea what goes into creating an animated film or trailer? Let’s get a behind-the-scenes look at Animost’s studio in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Animost Studio’s founders
Tuan-Anh Phan and Quangstorm Nguyen launched Animost studio in 2018 as a way to bring their ideas to life. Both creators have a wealth of expertise and practical experience in computer science, modeling, character and story development, and other areas of creative expression. At the time of their initial meeting in 2016, when they were both working on a large-scale gaming project in Hanoi, they believed they had the skills and shared the desire to create something significant for the games and animation industries.
“Coming from a technological background, I saw the need of conducting our own research and development to assist us in achieving particular motion using the most up-to-date technology, such as motion capture and the Unreal Engine. Because of this, we can develop 3D animation instead of 2D animation at a higher quality and at a lower cost,” Tuan-Anh Phan described how Animost Studio distinguishes itself from its competitors in South-East Asia.
Animost Studio’s operations and activities
Animost now employs 40 staffs that work both in the office and from their home remotely. Their employees have to maintain constant communication and follow-up in order to collaborate well on animated projects, ensuring project’s deadline as well as quality and budget requirements.
Animost studio, in addition to being a leading studio in animation technology, is constantly on the lookout for and nurturing the best individuals that are passionate about working in this field.
Animost studio has formed a deal with a major university in Vietnam to assist in the education of students and to provide them with the opportunity to work for the most modern 3D animation studio in the country’s capital, Hanoi.
Even though Animost’s talented workforce are fully occupied with ambitious projects for some of the world’s most prestigious clients, the company still wishes to contribute to and share their passion for animation with others who share their spirit in Asian communities and groups. Animost visited numerous animation conferences in Korea, Japan, and China, where they were able to improve their studio’s capabilities by networking with other studios in the Asian region.
Additionally, Animost studio’s recognition as the best 3D animation film by Japanese Digicon Awards has been a huge source of encouragement for the Animost’s team crew, who were working on both client’s and Digicon projects at the same time.
